i kept pressing on the God maker's nose only to realise i was spamming "throw 10 atoms into space"

I guess you could call that karma

Got over 300 billion and got bored, also my screen is white. 10/10

Pretty awesome small game! Made me have a small existential crisis at the end lol. I liked the music. The progression was perfectly paced.

Death, is only the beginning...

(+1)

well I liked the game.

also, can you make it so that after a certain amount of atoms thrown into space the menu changes so that you can still read everything easily

(+1)

Does anyone else see jimmy neutron in the star pattern? Or am I just insane

I'd love to hear more about this jimmy pattern

I'll get it again and post a screenshot

It looks pretty similar to him but it isn't exactly him

(+1)

It looks kind of like him and a ton of other stuff mashed together, but mostly jimmy neutron

(+1)

Amazing, a work of art

wow

I wish there wasn't that right-click menu. I keep accidentally right clicking when I'm spam clicking and skipping to the end of the game :(

(+3)

I fixed that, thanks for finding this !

(+1)

You did fix it! Thank you!

(+2)

Just a suggestion to other players:

Don't throw too many atoms, it makes the text unreadable lol

(+2)

Unless you throw even more atoms, in which case the background will be almost purely white but the text will be readable again

(+1)

text? what text

(+3)

all of it

(+1)

cant play on web bc it flash ):

(+1)

Fixed it :)

i love the music! it really sets the mood for the game! the game itself was actually quite interesting and had a wonderful atmosphere. if youre planning to expand it id be interested to see what you add!

I had fun playing the game, i noticed i could add text to the ending screen where there was text so might want to take out that capability in future games.

I finished the game, and I really liked the music. I loved the concept and it was just so relaxing and chill.

Oops! I *think* I broke it by spam clicking the 'create a planet' button! It started crediting me by about 2000 atoms a second all of a sudden (when before I had very little). Maybe you missed a guard against a value going negative?

Anyway, I think this is a pretty solid idle game! The music was a great fit and I liked all the little details with the planets and things merging. I'm a little sad there's nothing to click on while you're waiting for things - give our little monkey brains something to do :D

Dang it ! I'll be sure to check that after the jam ratings are done.

And thanks for the kind words, an atom button is such a simple and good idea to keep people busy.

The art is awesome. Interesting concept for an idle game. Three points of improvement: 1. I couldn't figure out the consequences of my actions. Why am I throwing atoms into space? Why am I building a sun? etc. 2. There was a point (before I'd even unlocked galaxies) where my atom production seemed to spiral into infinity. I could never buy enough stuff to run out of resources. It is fine for a short idle game like this, but for a much larger idle game the scaling would need to be fixed. 3. I found the beginning of the game to be rather slow and the ending to be rather fast. Typically idle games follow the opposite trend in order to hook in the player initially. You may want to rebalance the pace at which your player is required to perform actions throughout the lifecycle of your game. Overall, this was a really fun game jam submission! Great work!

Thank you so much for your comment, those are all valid points. For teh first point, everything is actually explained in the godmaker wiki if you look for it.

But about the pacing, you are absolutely right, I was having trouble juggling the idea of making an idle game lasting more than 10 minutes and making something under 10 minutes so anyone in teh game and the judges could actually complete it in a short setting.

I fully agree that a full game out of this would need quite a bit of rebalancing.

I really like the music! Over all its pretty cool, definitely an idle game! Waiting gets better as it should, the more you have in the universe. It's honestly really relaxing! I love this idea and concept for an idle game, such a good one! I also love that you put your face in there and the "hello" is perfect! Really cool!

Thank you so much, glad you liked it :)
