Editor’s note:
you might want to play level 7 before level 6 to understand a key rule of the game. If you can’t finish level 6 (the first level with the bug), that’s why.

7 Segments Journey is a grid-based puzzle game made in Puzzlescript Plus where you need to merge your tiny LCD screens with the other LCD screens in the level, 2048 style.

To win a level, you must reach the goal number with your player-screen and make sure no other non-#0 screens are left in the level.

Made for the Puzzle Jam III by 8 bits to infinity, the game contains :

  • About a dozen different blocks
  • 12 main levels
  • 4 extra challenging levels
  • A compelling story ?
  • Relaxing music
  • And a detailed guide of the different mechanics

Can you reach the fabled #64 on your LCD screen?

Can you become the Screen King?

Loved this! At first, I thought the combination of mechanics would be too much, but they worked really well! Would you be interested in non-exclusive licensing? We'd love to have this game on Coolmath Games! Please email us if you're interested: games@coolmath.com

Thank you so much, that would be great.

Sent you an email last friday !

Will a walkthrough be a thing?

Yeah, I can work on that, I'll let you know

Here it is !
It's a bit janky in the extra levels, but it should help you.

Very clever game!
Great twist with 2048 and I loved all the extra mechanics being introduced throughout the gameplay.
In the extra levels, I had to scratch my head a lot to find the solutions, it's a very well-thought game,
I'd love to see a longer version of this on Steam someday ;)
Great job on the jam submission!

Awesome game! Great twist on merging puzzles. Loved the dingy basement theme, including the Jam's artwork as a poster on the wall haha.

This is definitely the game from the jam that I have played longest so far.

I couldn't beat the level where the bug is introduced. I got the 16 in the bottom right and got to 32, but the level didn't end, and I didn't know what the additional win criteria were. Any tips?

Thanks!

Thanks for the nice words Ronin !

You bring a good point, the additional win condition is explained in the following level, there can't be any non-#0 screens left in the level beside you when you reach the goal number.

So, as long as you have that 16 on the screen you can't win.

Thanks again for playing and commenting :)
